• TnT are a duo made up of recorder players Teresa Wrann and Thomas Pickering. Having met at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama during their studies and worked together on several consort and opera projects, they now lead the Baroque ensemble Apollo’s Cabinet. After receiving a consistent, enthusiastic response from colleagues and audiences alike whenever they perform duets together, TnT is their project as a duo.

“The “Cuckoo Sonatas” by William Williams and Edward Finch were played with great virtuosity and a beautiful sound by Teresa Wrann and Thomas Pickering and offered a fine listening experience. The clever twist was the use of the room, where the musicians had the audience between them, which offered a unique listening experience most suitable for the echos and sounds of nature” Kulturzeitschrift

Less explosive than dynamite (only just), but still full of chemistry and spark, they explore ways of combining duet repertoire with interesting concepts that highlight their twoness. They enjoy exploring how to match their sounds without losing their individuality and finding a balance between independent freedom and being part of one unit.

“Lovely recorder playing from Thomas Pickering and Teresa Wrann accompanied the goddess-mortal smooching” Opera Today about Venus & Adonis

“It was clear that the performers not only relished Blow's music, but the very particular sound-world of 17th century London.” Planet Hugill about Venus & Adonis

  • Linnet Baroque are an early music ensemble led by soprano Elin Harries. The raison d'être of the group is to present informative and carefully researched programmes of English baroque and early classical repertoire, including music written for domestic entertainment, much of it undeservedly languishing in obscurity.

Also featuring the virtuosic ‘bird song’ genre, so popular in the operas of Handel, Ariosti and their peers.
